Video: Here Comes 1929 - Plant Your Victory Garden

Dear brothers and sisters,

The growth of  debt in the United States is incredible. The federal government now owes $27 trillion that it can’t pay. Up from 2.2 trillion 40 years ago.

The country as a whole, including the private sector, owes $80 trillion… that it can’t pay.

It is tragic that the only response seems to be to print more money. This leads invariably to inflation, bankruptcy and depression.

It seems to us, brothers and sisters, that growing our own food is no longer an option. It is a necessity. Every backyard, a Victory Garden, every front yard, an heirloom apple orchard, every vacant lot, a community garden, every schoolyard, an edible schoolyard.

In your kitchen, right now, start that tray of wheat grass , start that tray of arugula and that tray of broccoli sprouts.

This winter plant a tree. Plant an apple, pear, peach or plum tree. Imagine! A national day of tree planting. Every American plants a tree!

Plant your Victory Garden as soon as the ground thaws this Spring.

Plant a Victory Garden by way of proclaiming that come what may, you will redeem this great nation, you will see us through, you will build here a garden for the American spirit.

Please except our best wishes for vibrant good health to you and your family.

Recipe: The Best Raw Flax Seeds Crackers Recipe

recipe image from remote site

You’d be hard-pressed to find a food higher in fiber -- both soluble and insoluble -- than flax. This fiber is probably mainly responsible for the cholesterol-lowering effects of flax. Fiber in the diet also helps stabilize blood sugar, and, of course, promotes proper functioning of the intestines.

Flax Seed is High in Phytochemicals: Flax seed is high in phytochemicals, including many antioxidants. It is perhaps our best source of lignans, which convert in our intestines to substances that tend to balance female hormones.

For this recipe you will need  a Dehydrator  and Non-Stick Dehydrator Sheets.

Ingredients for main recipe:
2 cups golden flaxseeds
2 cups sunflower seeds
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup walnuts
Sea salt to taste
Dash of ground coriader
Dash of ground cumin
1/2 cup liquid aminos or soy sauce

A Few Words From Our Wonderful Customers

My husband and I are in love with the nut butters by Living Tree Community Foods. We are hooked for life! We have tried almost every brand of nut butters out there and we were just not impressed. Living Tree Community Food nut butters taste so fresh and the unique blends are just our favorite so thank you thank you. Our 18 month old son loves the almond, Brazil nut and cashew blend in his oatmeal and he’s a picky picky eater. We also love the nut flours, they are perfectly ground and taste so fresh! Thank you again for your divine products.... Suniti

I received my order today. I have to tell you that for the first time ever, I was able to place my own order. In the past, my daughter in law would have to do it for me because I'm visually impaired. She notified me last week that Living Tree has a new web site and that I should see if it was finally accessible to people like me. The verdict is that it's one of the easiest I've used. Thank you so much for caring about us glorious elders... Diana
