Video: Let’s Learn From Obesity

Dear brothers and sisters,

Over 100 million Americans are obese. Something like this has never before occurred. This is a crisis of epidemic proportions. Dr.Mercola is convinced that ultra processed food and  excess consumption of linoleic acid are major factors. Linoleic acid is an omega-6 polyunsaturated fat. Soybean oil is a major source of linoleic acid. It drives obesity. Then there are cottonseed, sunflower, canola, corn and safflower oils. Canola oil, in particular, has been linked to Alzheimer's.

It's important to realize that you don't get fat from eating fat; you get fat from not burning fat effectively. A high sugar diet, all those soft drinks, greatly impairs your body's ability to burn fat for fuel. We should eat more healthy fat, and less carbs and protein. High quality fat sources include avocados, nut butters, coconut oil, macadamias and pecans.

Lets us go deeper. Let’s look at the world that the obese inhabit:- How lonely are the streets! When I walk along rather than say  “good morning” people jump off the pavement. In place of the warmth of a  smile and a word of kindness we have deafening silence with people hunched over their cell phones.

Have  people ever been so isolated, distant and remote? Let’s ask ourselves which one of us has a close friend, even one friend in whom they can confine?  Are we not dazed, distraught  and distracted and panic stricken enough? In the 247th year of these United States we’ve become a nation of strangers.

Amidst the drear of isolation and despair, obesity  is a cry for help. A cry of despair welling up  from the soul. So they bloat themselves, they make themselves outcasts. In this way, they revert to a condition of earliest childhood when they were unconditionally loved and cherished and all their needs were provided for. They return to a fetal condition. Sadly enough, they are not able to readily engage in sexual union, thus putting themselves into a situation of energetic stasis, the abode of constant anxiety and neurosis.

Let’s conclude with  seven Living Tree steps to aliveness:-

1. Eat organic food. No pesticides, no GMOs.
2. Ditch processed foods.
3. Prepare the food that you eat yourself. No more take out ever.
4. Cook from scratch. Start with vegetables, nuts and seeds.
5. Fast intermittently.Just eat two or even one meal a day.  Confine one's time of eating to  between 6 to 8 hours with no snacking in between and no food for at least three hours before bedtime.
6. Engage in vigorous exercise at least once a day.
7. Take cold showers and  hot saunas.

We are convinced that the life at the grassroots will eventually triumph. The obese among us  will be healed, restored and made whole. We shall yet  build here a garden for the American spirit.

We feel it is more important than ever to plant a Victory Garden; we follow  Ben with Growveg, who shows us how we can plant even in the depths of winter.

Then there is a recipe for cinnamon bread- grain free, dairy free and egg free. It is based on almond flour which lends itself to so many congenial uses.

On sale, this week is our Zinc Cantata Selenium Sonata. Regularly $22.99 now $17.99. Comes in an 16 ounce jar.

Then an Amish farmer  warns us forthrightly about chickens and eggs.

Finally, Bob and Brad, the most popular physical therapists on the internet, demonstrate an easy stretch to improve our flexibility.

Please accept our best wishes to you and family for vibrant good health, prosperity and success.

Your comments and suggestions are most welcome.
