Video: The Incredible "10% Rule" That Every Gardener Should Use by Huw Richards

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are delighted to bring you this video exemplifying aliveness.Hew Richards, a master horticulturist, tells us how we can make our gardens a haven for bees, butterflies and other insects without sacrificing space for food crops.

We can allow edible annual flowers and herbs to dance amidst our garden beds. For example, borage is swamped by honey bees and it flowers all season.Its blue flowers will make your salad luminous. Also you can allow some of your kale, mustard greens and turnips to go to seed.They will send up shoots brimming with yellow flowers. Pollinators love them as they provide precious nectar and pollen.  

Tragically enough, there has been a huge die off in these vital pollinators thanks largely to factory farming. Let us remember, however, as Hew Richards tells us,  the smallest of actions can cause the most amazing things to happen.

This video exemplifies the sparks of life at the grassroots that will one day heal and redeem us.

Recipe: Almond Flour Pumpkin Bread (Healthy, Gluten free)

A healthy, Gluten-free Almond Flour Pumpkin Bread with the most delicious moist crumb, perfect to celebrate the fall season. Bonus, this healthy pumpkin bread recipe is also low-carb, sugar-free, and gluten-free.

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cup Almond Flour ultra-fine, blanched, packed, and swept.
  • ⅓ cup Crystal Sweetener of Choice I used erythritol, but coconut sugar would work as well if not keto/sugar-free.
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Ginger

Liquid ingredients

  • 4 Large Eggs at room temperature
  • ¾ cup Canned Pumpkin Puree not pumpkin pie filling!
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut Oil melted, or melted butter
